This was a project for my three-dimensional design class where we had to do an assemblage inspired by the work of Joesph Cornell. My narrative for this project was inspired around Cornell's interest in birds which were fixtures in his Aviary series of boxes. I made mine based on different North American birds of prey, mostly those from the California area. Each of the birds were hand drawn on paper, using pictures from the internet and my guidebooks on owls and birds of prey. I got the sticks and tree bark from around my neighborhood that surrounds the birds inside the box. On the box lid, I titled this box's story as Winged Hunters with the inside having a layer of feathers being hot-glued on, all overlapping each other.
