Artist Statement

One of the many interests that people enjoy is how things are designed.. A building is more than just a box with a door and some windows. It can be whimsical with irregular shaped windows and cursive wrought iron details, or it can be structured with a symmetrical pattern of windows and balconies to convey confidence and strength. Buildings can evoke feelings and emotions that can make us laugh or pause to consider its own beauty.[Creating model buildings allows me to reflect the expressions that these buildings convey. Likewise, trains are another interest that I find fascinating to draw because they make me feel at ease and stress-free. I create buildings to express the same joy that I feel when I see trains pass me by with its flowing kinetic energy, the sleekness of the cars, the excitement of traveling to a new destination, and the strength and power of the locomotives.

About Me

I enjoy drawing for fun and work using colored pencils, acrylic paint, and watercolors. I also enjoy building three-dimensional models out of cardboard. I like draw trains and cartoons a lot. I have been drawing since I could hold my first pencil and I am self taught at drawing. I am also a Cartoon, Art, Train, and Animation Enthusiast and I am influenced by great traditional and Stop motion animation.
